Building a robot that works is one challenge. Building a business around it is another. In June 2026, we took part in Startup Connect Investor Speed Dating, organised by ICKK – the Innovation Center of the Košice Region.
We introduced investors to Invelogy Patrol, our autonomous robotic security concept, and heard their perspectives on the product, business model and path to growth. Those conversations led to more than a few changes to our pitch: they helped us substantially revise our business plan and sharpen our commercial approach.
A few minutes to explain what really matters
Investor speed dating is not a traditional conference presentation. In a short one-to-one meeting, there is little time for a deep technical walkthrough. Founders need to explain the problem they are solving, who needs the solution and why it could become a sustainable business.
For an engineering-led company, that is a valuable exercise. Our day-to-day work involves robot navigation, sensors, software development and testing in real environments. Investors naturally look beyond the engineering. They want to understand the customer, the economics, how a product reaches the market and what it would take to grow.
Technical capability matters, but it does not automatically make a viable business model.
Invelogy Patrol: Autonomous security with a practical purpose
At Invelogy, we are developing Invelogy Patrol, a system for autonomous robotic patrols that brings together mobile robot platforms, sensors, AI-based monitoring and human oversight.
Our goal is to help businesses conduct routine checks of sites and facilities more consistently. Robots can be assigned defined patrol routes, gather relevant information and flag situations that may need a person’s attention. Human operators remain central to assessing incidents and deciding how to respond.
That is why product development and commercial strategy must evolve together. Customers do not need a robot simply because it can move autonomously. They need to know which tasks it can take on, how it fits existing security operations and what tangible value it delivers.
Feedback that led to real changes
The meetings gave us the perspective of people who routinely assess businesses through the lenses of investment, market demand and execution.
We received specific recommendations from investors. Based on that feedback, we significantly reworked our business plan, adjusted our business model and clarified our growth strategy. The value of the event was not limited to improving our presentation. It helped us think more rigorously about how Invelogy Patrol could move from product development to repeatable customer use.
As we refine our plans, we keep returning to practical questions. Which applications are most valuable to customers? What should service delivery and ongoing support look like? What needs to be in place before a solution can scale beyond its first pilot environment?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Direct conversations with experienced investors and business leaders help us challenge our assumptions rather than simply reinforce them.

More than a chance to pitch
One of the strengths of Startup Connect is the opportunity for open, constructive discussion. Feedback can validate an approach, but it can also reveal issues that are easy to miss when a team is focused on building the technology.
For us, the lesson was clear: a strong robotics company needs a capable product, a clear understanding of its customers and a realistic route to market. We see investor conversations not only as potential fundraising opportunities, but also as a way to test our thinking and make better business decisions.
Taking part in this event was not an announcement of a new investment. It was a meaningful step in refining how we plan to build the company.
From conversations to the next stage of development
Our focus remains on developing and testing Invelogy Patrol and identifying real-world settings where autonomous robots can deliver measurable operational value.
We would like to thank ICKK – the Innovation Center of the Košice Region for organising Startup Connect Investor Speed Dating, and everyone who shared their time, questions and candid feedback with us. Their input helped shape the next iteration of our business plan.
