Invelogy becomes an official DEEP Robotics distributor for Slovakia and the Czech Republic

Invelogy is now an official DEEP Robotics distributor for Slovakia and the Czech Republic. This marks an important step in our development: alongside our own robotics software and modular payload systems, we can now offer businesses in both markets an industrial-grade mobile robot platform – the DEEP Robotics LYNX M20.

What caught our attention was the M20’s combination of wheeled mobility, articulated legs, rugged construction and integration potential. These are the qualities that matter when robots leave the lab and enter industrial sites, outdoor environments and challenging terrain.

More than robot distribution

For us, this partnership goes beyond supplying hardware. Our focus is on bringing together the robot platform, practical integration and our own software to solve specific operational problems.

We want to make industrial robotics more accessible to companies in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with guidance on selecting the right configuration and support for technical integration. Every deployment starts with the same questions: What does the robot need to do? Where will it operate? Which sensors are required? And how will people supervise it?

The partnership also gives us a stronger foundation for developing Invelogy Patrol, our approach to autonomous site security that combines mobile robots, a modular sensor payload, AI and mission-management software.

Why we chose the DEEP Robotics LYNX M20

The LYNX M20 is a wheel-legged industrial robot. It can use its wheels for efficient travel on suitable surfaces while its articulated limbs help it negotiate stairs, uneven ground and other obstacles.

According to the manufacturer, the platform can climb continuous stairs with steps up to 25 cm high, overcome individual obstacles of up to 80 cm and manage slopes of up to 45° under suitable conditions. These are specified performance limits rather than guarantees for every surface or payload.

Its standing dimensions are 820 × 430 × 570 mm, with a weight of approximately 33–35 kg, depending on the documentation revision and configuration. That balance between size and mobility makes it a promising option for applications where larger robotic systems would be cumbersome.

IP66 protection for demanding environments

Industrial robots need to cope with more than clean, dry floors. The LYNX M20 carries an IP66 ingress-protection rating, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. DEEP Robotics lists an operating temperature range of −20 °C to +55 °C.

This makes the platform particularly interesting for outdoor inspection and security applications. There is an important distinction, however: IP66 does not mean the robot is rated for immersion. Adding custom enclosures, sensors or connectors also requires a separate assessment of the assembled system’s protection level.

DEEP Robotics LYNX M20: key specifications

Specification Manufacturer data
Standing dimensions 820 × 430 × 570 mm
Weight including battery Approx. 33–35 kg, depending on documentation/configuration
Rated payload 15 kg
Stated maximum load Up to 50 kg (not the normal continuous payload)
Unloaded endurance / range Up to 3 hours / 15 km
Endurance / range at 15 kg payload Up to 2.5 hours / 12 km
Single-battery charging time Approx. 1.5 hours
Battery replacement Hot-swap supported
Laboratory-tested top speed Up to 5 m/s
Recommended operating speed Approx. 2 m/s
Continuous stair / single obstacle height Up to 25 cm / up to 80 cm
Maximum slope Up to 45° under suitable conditions
Sensors Two 96-channel LiDAR units and two wide-angle cameras
Onboard computing Two industrial 64-bit octa-core processors, each with 16 GB RAM and 128 GB storage
Ingress protection IP66
Operating temperature −20 °C to +55 °C

These figures are manufacturer-reported ratings or test results, not a promise of identical performance in every environment. In particular, the stated 50 kg maximum load should not be confused with the normal 15 kg payload rating.

Our next step: bringing the Invelogy Backpack to the M20

Until now, we have been developing our modular robotic backpack on the Unitree Go2 platform. The backpack is designed to carry independent sensors, communications hardware, safety equipment and onboard computing, reducing our reliance on any one robot manufacturer’s built-in systems.

The next development phase is to adapt and integrate this backpack with the DEEP Robotics M20. The M20’s mounting options and external interfaces make it a promising base for additional hardware. Power distribution and the connection of third-party equipment must still be designed and validated against the exact robot configuration.

Our long-term direction is a hardware-agnostic, ROS 2-based architecture that supports autonomous missions, local AI processing and security functions across compatible robot platforms. We want to keep improving the capabilities of our system without rebuilding everything whenever we change the underlying robot.

Where could the M20 create value?

We see potential for the platform in industrial site patrols, technical inspections, infrastructure monitoring and operations in difficult-to-access areas. With an appropriate sensor payload and software, it can form part of a system that carries out predefined routes, captures useful operational data and supports remote supervision.

The business case, however, does not start with the robot. It starts with the task. A successful deployment needs defined routes, operating limits, data workflows, safety procedures and clear rules for human intervention.

The DEEP Robotics M20 is the platform. Invelogy Patrol is the system we are building around it. Our goal is to turn capable robotics hardware into a practical solution for autonomous security and industrial monitoring.

What comes next

Our next priorities include backpack integration, real-world mobility testing and validating the connection between the M20 hardware and Invelogy software. We will share progress as these milestones are reached.
